Roll Call: Tax Boot Camp
Looking to provide new CPAs with realistic hands-on training in tax return preparation, workpaper techniques and basic tax law? Tax Boot Camp is enlisting its latest recruits.
Co-sponsored by the University of San Diego Accountancy Institute and CalCPA’s San Diego Chapter, Tax Boot Camp provides new CPAs with concentrated tax preparation experience. A comprehensive, realistic tax problem developed with the help of San Diego CPAs provides real-life examples of common tax reporting forms, escrow statements, business records and other commonly encountered tax supporting documents. Students also practice using checklists and worksheets.
San Diego tax practitioners Frank Beiser and Kate Leonard, both former presidents of the CalCPA San Diego Chapter, will be the instructors for the four-day course, Jan. 5-8.
For more information and to register, visit the Tax Boot Camp website or contact Tom Dalton at (619) 260-4102.
