Emerging Professionals: Career Panel Series a Success!

Emerging Professionals Committee chair Parisa Nesva Derani led a panel discussion on CPA careers during our chapter’s Sept.18 meeting at Notre Dame de Namur University. Panelists included sole practitioner Carol Ach, financial planner James Knight and young professional Anthony Rozenvasser.

More than 50 students attended, and many were involved in the discussion. They asked some good questions, and several commented afterward how much they had learned about the potential of having a CPA license.

This was the second in a series of three programs our Emerging Professionals Committee is presenting at local colleges. The first was in May at College of San Mateo. The final program will be presented at Menlo College in November and will focus on international accounting careers.
