Meet the Board: Patrick Cabildo, Director
Patrick Cabildo is an internal auditor for the Chaffey Community College District, which would explain his membership in the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Community College Internal Auditors groups.
Patrick lives in Fontana with his wife, Eloina (Ellie), and three sons, Patrick David (5), Dominic Frances (4) and Daniel Ryan (3). Ellie’s full-time (and then some) job is taking care of their young boys. The three Cabildo lads are starting on the same team in a youth basketball league, which Patrick is coaching. He says that since they make up 25 percent of the team, he felt a little obligated to coach. Patrick has also led church retreats and sang in bands at Christian concerts.
Patrick was born in Manila, Philippines, and grew up in Upland and Rancho Cucamonga. In high school, he sang in the Chamber Choir, as well as church bands. Patrick met his wife in high school youth group, and they will celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary in May. Patrick enjoys playing basketball and golf during his off time, and also loves spending time with his family. He says that Disneyland passes are well worth the price. Patrick visited Puerto Rico for Thanksgiving a few years ago.
Patrick says he’s an open book, which is obvious from his happy demeanor and smiling face. What does he have to say about his involvement with CalCPA? “Being involved with leadership, I am continually appreciative and impressed with the fine citizens I’ve encountered as well as those members that I have had the opportunity to meet,” he says.
