Looking Forward

While it is somewhat quiet for most of us during these summer months, I want to take the opportunity to give you a brief update from our May 24 chapter board retreat of things to come:

• We will host our annual Student Night Sept. 22.
• The Young and Emerging Professionals will be hosting an array of events throughout the year.
• The member’s award event happens Nov. 16.
• Our annual golf tournament will tee off Oct. 18.
• Our second annual blood drive will be the week of Jan. 10-15.

In addition to these events, there will be some great CPE available through our AP&AS Committee, so watch for the dates as they are announced. I encourage everyone to participate as much as possible. These are wonderful opportunities to raise money for our scholarship fund, as well as great networking events.

CalCPA held its Annual Members Business and Council meeting in Anaheim June 24-25. I look forward to updating you next month on the latest issues and information.
