Scholarship Recipients Say “Thank You”
The following are a few thank you notes that our chapter has received from scholarship recipients:
Thank you for your support of accounting students at the Madera Community College Center. I was excited to hear that I had been chosen to receive the Fresno Chapter’s Promising Accountant Junior Scholarship this year. As a recipient of the scholarship, I feel very fortunate to have been selected. This scholarship will be very helpful to me in continuing my education.
It is so important that people like you help accounting students and assist us in reaching our goals. Your generosity will make a difference in the lives of so many students in the years to come. It means so much to me to know that others care about students at the Madera Community College Center.
Sincerely, Adriana Reyes

I would like to begin by saying thank you. I really appreciate the fact that you are there to support hardworking and dedicated students. It is difficult working full time while attending school full time to make ends meet. However, with this scholarship, you are helping me to focus harder on my scholastic duties and less on the rising cost of living, books and education. I look forward to the day when I earn my CPA designation and can make a difference in a student’s life by being part of your program. Thank you very much for your time and the effort put in to this program.
Sincerely, Luis Thompson

I am writing this letter to happily thank you for the scholarship from the Fresno Chapter. It is an honor to be a recipient of such a big award and the benefit of it will help me tremendously.
I am a business major with an emphasis in accounting. My plan in life is after graduating from Fresno State to use my newly found knowledge to obtain my CPA license from the state of California and continue on to work as an accountant in the valley. Many financial barriers along the path to obtaining this goal have been removed with your financial support.
By receiving the Fresno Chapter’s University Transfer Scholarship award, you have affirmed that hard work and a desire to succeed pay off and have motivated me to continue to strive for excellence. I look forward to the day when I can be in a position to return the favor and give back to the community that has helped to support me in my goals.
