Scholarship Applications Being Accepted

It’s time to apply for the chapter’s scholarships. Last year the chapter awarded more than $37,000 to the most promising students attending East Bay colleges. The scholarship application deadline is Monday, Oct. 31. Selected applicants will be contacted for an interview in November, and scholarships will be awarded at Honorees Night in January. Don’t miss out on the opportunity for a scholarship ranging from $3,000 to $6,000! Download the form.

Nominations Open for the LeVerne W. Garcia Award

The LeVerne W. Garcia Award for Outstanding Achievement recognizes a chapter member for his or her distinguished service to the profession of public accounting, to the community or both.

The award is a memorial to LeVerne W. Garcia, who contributed extensively to the profession, including serving as chapter president and secretary of the California Board of Accountancy. Garcia also participated in numerous civic and professional organizations and was the first recipient of CalCPA’s Distinguished Service Award.

The winner will be recognized at the chapter’s Honorees Night in January. The nomination deadline is Oct. 15. Download the form today.

First Tri-Valley ABC Night
