President's Message

Your Trusted Adviser

April 23, 2013

By Jerry Brown

2013-pres-jerry-brownGreetings! Thank you for electing me as your chapter president and trusting me to lead our chapter in helping make your CalCPA membership more relevant. We have a great team of officers, directors and committee chairs that will be charged with that objective.

My theme this year: “A CPA is Your Trusted Adviser.” This theme applies to those of us in private industry, government and education, as well as those of us in public practice. CPAs are known to go the extra mile in educational training and to keep integrity paramount in our practices to maintain our position of trust and fulfill our important role in the community. We also adapt to the changing times in economics and technology to improve and enhance our value to the public and our colleagues.
